The oldest form of institutionalization of children with SEN is due to Queen Maria, beginning in 1920. The Education Act of 1924 provided for the possibility of establishing in mass education “differentiated classes for the mentally retarded, for those with poor health, asocial and vicious, blind and deaf “.
In Buzău, the Boys’ Helping School was established in 1959, which educated children with disabilities, coming mainly from families with modest living possibilities or from disorganized families. In 1995, when the mixing took place, the school received the name Special School no. 1 Buzau.
In 2003 the special preschool education was established in our unit, and in 2005 the vocational education classes were established (arts and crafts: worker in finishing textiles and leather and worker in public catering).
The year 2007 marked a major change, our unit becoming the School Center for Inclusive Education Buzau, which allows the school to provide support services to children with SEN integrated into mainstream education for which it is developed and implemented, in collaboration with teachers in integrative schools , personalized intervention programs that facilitate the differentiated activity with them.
Starting with 2009, the school provides, through the form of full-time education, instructive-educational activities structured on the following educational cycles:
*Preschool;
*Primary;
*gymnasium;
*compulsory education of 10 classes;
*vocational education for profiles:Tourism and food, specialization Chef; Textile and leather industry, specialization Textile manufacturer;
The Buzău Inclusive Education School Center is located in Buzău County, Buzău, on an area of 4780 square meters, in Horticolei Street, number 56.
Over the years, current and major repairs have been carried out, as well as rehabilitations. In 2012, a work was carried out to expand the institution’s building with two workshops for textile garments, two public food laboratories, a psychodiagnosis office, 1 toy library, 1 multisensory stimulation room, 1 physical and medical culture office.
The School Center for Inclusive Education Buzau has as main objective the training, education, school and social integration of children with special educational needs in the community, in the family, at school, at work or in other living environments. In this sense, through the educational management that it promotes, it aims to create a favorable climate for the development of the instructive-educational and therapeutic-recovery process to ensure the maximum possible development of students for their social and professional integration.
Buzău School Center for Inclusive Education implements EDUCATION FOR ALL through TOLERANCE, EMPATHY, SOLIDARITY, ENTHUSIASM and RESPONSIBILITY.
Based on the existing resources used at our own pace in collaboration with educational partners, we will focus our actions on:
• ensuring the training in children and young people with SEN of the behavioral and social skills necessary to adapt to a dynamic environment;
• developing adaptive skills based on authentic, personal and social attitudes and values;
• encouraging students to develop self-confidence in order to acquire responsible personal behavior in life.
of COVID-19 has affected education and training systems around the world, putting unprecedented pressure on them, bringing about major changes in the way we learn, teach, communicate and collaborate in our school communities.

Our focus is for the children to learn English in a way, which does not make it a chore, but child’s play. Through small rituals and repetitions the children learn basic vocabulary. Our kindergarten staff has structured the lessons in such a way, that they do not only repeat things but that there are different themes every month, with new activities and words for the children to learn about and explore. We always try to innovate implementing new ways of teaching (TIC´s, Flipped Classroom, Show & Tell, Educational Robotics…).
We follow a curriculum created to the age and requirements of our students that allows them to learn a second language through a variety of experiences and gaining knowledge in the following areas :
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
• Communication, Language and Literacy.
• Mathematical Development.
• Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
• Physical Development.
• Creative Development.

Istituto Comprensivo ‘S. Pertini’ Martinsicuro (Te)

http://www.scuolemartinsicuro.gov.it

The S .Pertini Comprehensive School in Martinsicuro has 1254 students, from the age of 3 to the age of 14 (nursery school,primary school and middle -secondary school); of these 235 do not have Italian citizenship.
The school has seven school buildings, where 158 teachers and about 30 staff employers work.
The teachers who permanently remain in the school are those who live in the areas of the Municipality to which the
institution belongs and constitute a reference point for students.
Anyway in our school there is a greater turnover among teachers of the Secondary School (Middle school). This particularity offers the institute the opportunity to enrich itself through the contribution of new professionals.
The territory of Martinsicuro borders with two regions, Marche and Abruzzo and from a demographic point of view there is a continuous flow of migration. This phenomenon, which has been occurring for some years now, has strongly influenced the social and cultural context of the city. In this scenario our school must give a concrete answer to the needs of inclusion and aggregation, to reduce discomfort and youth deviance. There are a lot of students with special educational needs and disabilities, who work and study in regular classes as we really believe that inclusion is the best way for an harmonious development of every child.
