 “Digitalization for Kindergartens and Primary Schools”

The purpose of the activity conducted in the given context (October 17, 2022 – October 22, 2022):

The purpose of this activity was to facilitate the exchange of experience and knowledge among participants from different schools, with a focus on active learning, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the teaching and learning process, and exploring artistic and ecological dimensions in education.

Objectives of the activity:

Day 1 (October 17, 2022):

• Welcome Ceremony: Participants were welcomed by the host school and local authorities. A guided tour of the school followed.
• Welcome Assembly: It included presentations of local folklore songs and dances by the school’s music and dance teachers. Presentation speeches were given by staff from participating schools.
• Information Session: Emphasis was placed on the Romanian Curriculum, with a special focus on ICT competencies and artistic subjects.

Day 2 (October 18, 2022):

• Lesson Observations: The focus was on the use of ICT in lessons. Workshops in mixed groups were held on the Edmondo platform as a strategy for distance learning using ICT.
• Project Meeting: Discussions were held on pre-identified project plans and priorities. An informative seminar focused on the school’s experience in distance learning using ICT, including the software used and its limitations.
• Training Workshop: Emphasis was placed on using Edpuzzle software.

Day 3 (October 19, 2022):

• Art Workshop: Participants took part in an artistic training session led by a local group of artists. The session focused on Romanian artists painting sea-themed pictures.
• Discussion on Artistic Movie Footage: The discussion centered on how artistic filmed images can encourage children to approach and evaluate art creatively.
• Visit to Crang Park: The park introduced the environmental studies dimension in ICT and Art.

Day 4 (October 20, 2022):

• Field Trip: A full-day educational visit to the Muddy Volcanoes.

Day 5 (October 21, 2022):

• Practical Lessons with Students: Participants engaged in lessons focused on Creative Arts, including dance activities and clay modeling.
• Development of Online Art Projects: Participants used Edmondo ICT resources to begin developing traditional art projects.

Day 6 (October 22, 2022):

• Environmental Education and History through Distance Learning: These topics were addressed during a seminar.
• Project Meeting: Discussions were held about deadlines for completing distance learning resources and upcoming collaborative activities.
• Official Conclusion of the Project: The minutes of the project meeting were prepared, and certificates of participation were awarded.
• Free Time: Participants had free time.

Day 7 (October 23, 2022):

• Departure Day: Participants departed.

Tangible results obtained:

• Development of skills in using ICT in the teaching and learning process.
• Improved understanding and collaboration among schools regarding ICT and artistic subjects.
• Development and implementation of online artistic projects.
• Strengthening of skills in distance learning and monitoring students’ progress.
